Chris

February saw the arrival of Chris, the new Architectural Technician. He has always been interested in the field, having completed National and Higher National Diplomas in Construction at college. He worked part time at Brian Page & Associates in Maidstone as a Junior Technician while studying and then moved on to Calford Seaden in Orpington where he worked for 13 years, working his way up to become an associate member of the company. His most memorable project there was working on a refurbishment of The Boxing Academy in Hackney, London.

He joined Clarendon as was excited for the opportunity to work on a variety of house styles, after working primarily on care home and social housing projects in his previous jobs. He is enjoying being able to have more involvement with the complete process, due to the smaller size of Clarendon.

He is a lover of fine dining and is really into his cars, with his show car winning 5 trophies last year. Chris is due to get married this September in a 1940’s train station booking office, with the reception on a steam train!

Gary

Gary also joined the Clarendon team in February, as the new Health and Safety Officer. He decided to take on the role to challenge himself and push out of his comfort zone, having worked at BT Open Reach for 45 years as Survey Officer and Business Engineer. Gary also does voluntary work for Age UK once a week, driving elderly members of the community to and from a day centre where they can enjoy lunch and activities. He also plays squash regularly and is an avid Brighton FC supporter.

Hannah

Hannah joined in January as the new office administrator and customer service assistant. She has a diverse background, having completed a 3-year BTEC National Diploma in public services (as she originally wanted to join the RAF), before joining the NHS as Healthcare Assistant where she worked in a range of departments including A&E and fracture clinic. She has also worked in receptionist and admin roles for a variety of firms.

Hannah decided to take on her new role as she enjoys interacting with customers. She is a bubbly addition to the office, with a number of hidden talents – she has flown planes and done aerobatics when she was in the Air Cadets, and has her own cd! Hannah currently helps run a car club in the Kent and London region, raising money for local charities and attending shows and fetes in the UK to support communities as well as participating in track days at Silverstone and Lydden Hill Circuit. Her own car is definitely the brightest one in the car park!

Hannah and her beloved car!
